В статті розглядається кіпрське повстання 1931 р. Надано комплексний аналіз причин повстання, враховуючі такі кризові явища як дезінтеграційний процес Британської імперії, економічна депресія початку 1930-х рр., політичні, економічні та релігійні передумови на острові в другій половині 1920-х – на початку 1930-х рр. На основі європейської преси, мемуарів та колоніальних звітів досліджується перебіг кіпрських подій та наслідки як для англійської колонії, так і для Середземноморського регіону.Посилання
